We are seeking a reliable and motivated Machine Operator to join operations at Callide Power Station in Biloela. This is a hands-on role within a power station environment, ideal for candidates who are adaptable and enjoy working across a variety of operational and maintenance tasks.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Operating plant control systems (full training provided)
- Conducting basic fly ash sampling and laboratory testing (training provided)
- Performing mechanical maintenance tasks, including:
- Pipe replacement
- Gasket replacement
- Control valve replacement
- Use of hand and power tools such as rattle guns
- Using computer systems, including MS Office and maintenance management software
- Supporting general plant operations and maintenance activities
- Maintaining a safe and compliant work environment at all times
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Construction Industry White Card (required or willing to obtain)
- Previous experience in a labouring, manufacturing, mechanical, or similar hands-on environment
- Basic mechanical aptitude, with experience using tools such as rattle guns highly regarded
- A strong work ethic and positive, can-do attitude
- The ability to perform manual handling and physically demanding tasks
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office or similar systems
- Reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to learn (training will be provided)
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including day shift, weekends, and public holidays as required
- The ability to work locally in Biloela / Callide Power Station area
