Machine Operator

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Machine Operator to join operations at Callide Power Station in Biloela. This is a hands-on role within a power station environment, ideal for candidates who are adaptable and enjoy working across a variety of operational and maintenance tasks.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Operating plant control systems (full training provided)
• Conducting basic fly ash sampling and laboratory testing (training provided)
• Performing mechanical maintenance tasks, including:
• Pipe replacement
• Gasket replacement
• Control valve replacement
• Use of hand and power tools such as rattle guns
• Using computer systems, including MS Office and maintenance management software
• Supporting general plant operations and maintenance activities
• Maintaining a safe and compliant work environment at all times

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Construction Industry White Card (required or willing to obtain)
• Previous experience in a labouring, manufacturing, mechanical, or similar hands-on environment
• Basic mechanical aptitude, with experience using tools such as rattle guns highly regarded
• A strong work ethic and positive, can-do attitude
• The ability to perform manual handling and physically demanding tasks
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office or similar systems
• Reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to learn (training will be provided)
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including day shift, weekends, and public holidays as required
• The ability to work locally in Biloela / Callide Power Station area
